How many times can we cheat death? How many close calls will it take before you believe? How many “warnings” do you need? Do you REALLY THINK it’s all a coincidence, or acts of nature, or Global warming? Is it just the way thing’s are and this is normal life? HELLLOOOO…
How many “Pandemic” scares have we had in the last 10 years? How many major earthquakes have there been? How many new strains of viruses are becoming resistant to our antibiotic drugs? How about the 2005 tsunami that killed more then 176,000 people in ONE DAY in 12 countries? The China quake killed more than 80,000 people. Hurricanes continue to grow in strength and number as well as tornadoes and violent storms. I know, I know. I’ll get all kinds of email saying I’m acting like “Chicken Little” and saying the sky is falling. Go ahead. IT’S TRUE.
How do I know it’s true? How do I know, for sure, it’s NOT just random occurrences? Because I read the “manual” and it says these things will happen and will continue to happen at an ever-increasing rate. It says that when these things start happening it’s VERY NEAR the End. Well they’ve been happening for a while now so…….
The “manual” is called Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. Yes the Bible. It’s the best selling book of all time, bar none, and for good reason. It’s true. It has made hundreds of predictions that have all come true and with amazing accuracy I might add. It has also made some very scary predictions for the future that will also come true. And you are seeing it happen before your very eyes.
And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences (diseases), and earthquakes, in various places. All of these are only the beginning pains [of the end]. Matthew 24:6-8
Jesus said this to His disciples when they asked Him what would be the “signs of the end”.
Heard about any wars and rumors of war lately? Are there people starving all over the world as there has NEVER been before? Are there earthquakes on the news nearly every week? Are there NEW strains of diseases that we have never seen before? The obvious answer is yes to all the above. Jesus said it would happen and it is.
We got His warning in advance so that we could BE PREPARED .
Yes you can stock up on food and water, buy yourself an air mask and glue everything down in your house BUT…. I don’t think that’s what God had in mind. Those are all good things but what God wants you to be prepared for is MEETING Him.
I don’t mean to be blunt but there’s not much time to beat around the bush. Are you ready to meet Him? What “if” this latest flu bug was the one that killed 100 million people, including 5 million in our state? That’s not something you can physically prepare for nor prevent.
It’s going to happen, one way or another. We are ALL going to die. The way things are looking there will be a LOT of us that WON’T be dying of old age.
So it’s time to GET REAL. Death could come to our door today in many forms and there’s not a lot we can do about that. Truthfully I am not scared to die. I AM scared of HOW I might die but not death itself. I know where I’m going. I’ve made peace with my Maker. So bring on the quakes and bugs and boogey men, I know I’m going to heaven.

That’s what Jesus was saying. “When you see these things”, it’s time to get READY. Things are NOT going to get better, I’ve read the ending, thing’s are going to get MUCH worse. But you don’t have to be afraid or live in fear. These warnings are out of His love for you so that you won’t be lost. He’s giving you a chance to get right before He comes.
God is Holy, Just and Fair.
He would not be just if He didn’t give us a warning. So HE did.
He would not be fair if He didn’t promise salvation to everyone. So He has.
He would not be Holy if there was not a Day of Judgment coming. So there is.
God loves you and takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. God wants everyone to repent and be His children. He died so you could be with Him.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
John 3:16-17
God isn’t judging you and neither am I. God loves you and sent Jesus to die for my sins and yours and that of the whole world. All He asks is that you accept His precious gift and then you too will be saved from the judgment to come. It’s not about religion, it’s about a personal relationship with a personal God who loves you. All you need to do is say a simple prayer from your heart. Pray with me now.
Heavenly Father, I know that You have been calling me and now I’m ready to answer. I know that Jesus died for my sins and I accept Him as Your precious gift for salvation. I confess my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Please clean my heart, my mind and my soul of anything that displeases You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can learn from You and about You. Show me the way to go in these last days. Show me what I’m supposed to be doing for You. I give you my life now, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
If you just prayed that prayer I want to be the first to welcome you into the Family. Go get yourself a Bible and start reading the New Testament so you can learn about your God and His Son Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you and He will. Find yourself a church that teaches from the Bible ONLY and not any other book. It’s not about religion but you will need help and need to be around those that know the Lord and can help you.
